Sculpted Warriors

Hungarian designer Éva Nyíri's 'Black on Black' collection was inspired by samurai warriors and robots and then tweaked to perfection. The exaggerated shoulders and waist add an undeniable character that has me dying to get my hands on at least one of these jackets and the stunning long strapped mary jane heels too.

Moscou Dolls

Karl Lagerfeld's Pre-Fall 09 collection is a true reminder of Coco Chanel's fascination with the Russian spirit during the 1920's. The collection consists of miniature moscou doll necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches and the matryoshka bag (which I desperately need for reasons unknown to me).

I want it all.

Ann D. has me drooling over just about every piece in her Fall 2009 collection. I am seriously lusting after the ribcage harness and the overall 18th century vampire feel.

I would wear this collection as shown but I would also want to play with it and add different pieces for a softer look. For instance the ribcage harness would look lovely over a feminine floral dress, the leather will make it a little bit rough but still girly.

The men's collection doesn't disappoint with romantic jackets adorned with ascots and chains (perhaps pocket watch fobs?), leather gloves and knee high boots.

Envy Part II: The Moustache

Mischievous, intimidating and debonair.

I would have such a glorious handlebar moustache, If only I were able. I guess I'll leave that fun for the boyfriend. I suppose it is better that he have a substantial amount of envious facial hair rather than me.
