Moscou Dolls

Karl Lagerfeld's Pre-Fall 09 collection is a true reminder of Coco Chanel's fascination with the Russian spirit during the 1920's. The collection consists of miniature moscou doll necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches and the matryoshka bag (which I desperately need for reasons unknown to me).

Karl is brilliant. I wasn't really into the ankle bag or segway when they came out but the gun heels and motorcycle are looking pretty bad ass. The clear bag reminds me of the packaging of toys that I'd open when I was little. Here's a taste of the ridiculous and wonderful.

Karl created a well constructed paper collection for the Paris Spring 2009 show with a little art and crafts. I wouldn't have guessed paper, everything looks very delicate and soft.
