Shary Boyle

I first came across Shary's work at Floating World Comics here in Portland and was very intrigued by the raw look of her porcelain figurines. Shary is a sculptor, painter and filmmaker based out of Toronto. She has also collaborated with Peaches and Feist in creating live drawings that are then animated and projected on stage during their performances. Her imagery is so personal and moving you can't help but delve into a fantasy world.

Miss Bibi

Dainty jewelry displayed in charming dollhouses. The pieces are mostly ordinary objects but in miniature form, I think I'm in love. From a frame brooch to cutlery necklaces, Miss Bibi is quite charming to look at and I'm sure wearing a piece from the collection would be just as wonderful.

You can buy the collection here.

Creep

I just found a site with the largest collection of taxidermy photos I've ever seen. Taxidermy is generally awkward looking in my opinion but this site is a serious combination of odd, creepy and creative ways people preserve animals. You really need to check out the site to see all of the obscurities.

Annie Collinge

Annie has a fresh and fun take on fashion spreads. I really like that she uses mannequin parts in place of living models in some of the photographs. The tulle skirt and red heels are calling my name.

The image of the missing torso and jeans reminds me of the toddler sized dolls that were popular with old ladies. The awful ones that you would place against a wall, they wore children's clothing and didn't have faces.
