Picture Stories

Julia Fullerton-Batten is a London based photographer known for her use of non traditional models and the "Teenage Stories" series featuring giant adolescence girls in tiny city settings. During an interview with Lost At E Minor she answered the question pertaining to the models, "I used to approach unknown people on the streets in London and ask them to take part in my photo shoots. There are so many fascinating faces accompanied with wonderful personalities around. The freshness that street cast models have, has also benefited my work immeasurably. I now don’t have the time to find the amateur models myself. But I hire a producer to source models for me".

The series of the blonde girls in purple, pink and nude are mesmerizing. I really love the last image, she looks to be in a food coma. The colors and body positioning are quite beautiful throughout.

Paranaiv

Paranaiv was created by Aspiring Art Director Are Sundnes, the site has a nice mix of photography and concepts. Here are two of my favorites, Barbie of the Undead (because Barbie is a zombie, duh) and Ponilla. Frankly Ponilla is creepy but I like it.

Designer Gym

A very unique and visually appealing rock climbing wall in Japan called "Rock climbing on Omotesando". It reminds me of Alice in Wonderland for some reason, perhaps it's the large amount of objects and the waviness of the wall. Looks really fun!

Yes, I need a Chanel motorcycle.

Karl is brilliant. I wasn't really into the ankle bag or segway when they came out but the gun heels and motorcycle are looking pretty bad ass. The clear bag reminds me of the packaging of toys that I'd open when I was little. Here's a taste of the ridiculous and wonderful.

And Away We Go

I always fantasized about running away and joining the circus. The beautifully detailed early 1900's attire and the graceful movements of the trapeze artists are what really get to me. If I got my hands on a time machine you can bet I'd be a traveling, lion taming, trapeze artist. At least for a little while. It's sad that the circus isn't how it used to be, all of the oddities that made the circus a circus have vanished. But a girl can dream.

Madame Talbot's

A few days ago I came across the wonderful and obscure that is Madame Talbot's Victorian Lowbrow. It's a site that carries many one of a kind gothic death themed creations, vintage apothecary, medical supplies, actual human bones, a shrunken head and so on. I couldn't believe my eyes. If only I had an extra four grand, that shrunken head would be sitting pretty in my apartment!

Chanel DIY

Karl created a well constructed paper collection for the Paris Spring 2009 show with a little art and crafts. I wouldn't have guessed paper, everything looks very delicate and soft.
A+ to you sir.
